This past labor day weekend, I searched the internet for a specific niche industry and came across a site with malware on it, as noted by the blog image. I started thinking of all the small businesses that aren't updated and could run into this and present the worst possible first impression. So we came up with a solution.
WordPress websites are great as the software is free and open for anyone to install. Many websites are being established and not maintained. Imagine your iPhone or Android device with no updates. Malware and viruses could infect those devices. Updates are pushed to your phones to help protect your individual experience with the device is uninterrupted.
Basic hosting and many "care plans" don't monitor your website 24x7 for malware or viruses or even at all. We believe that all websites deserve this, and we always include malware and virus monitoring and removal as part of our client's plans.
So what about this site we found? How did it change my thinking? We are now offering ANY small business or entrepreneur free malware or virus removal, even if they are not our customers. We are doing this as we know "mistakes happen" and that most web designers have no Information Technology (IT) background. We do as we feel this is a necessity to providing excellent customer service.
