Image Metadata Scrubber
Re-encode JPG, PNG, and WebP images to remove common embedded metadata before sharing them.
Images are processed within the current web session and are not sent to the Brilliance API or intentionally stored by this tool. Do not use this tool as your only control for highly sensitive material.
Common image metadata is discarded during re-encoding
Re-encoding removes metadata, not visible information
This tool does not blur faces, remove text, hide landmarks, redact reflections, or remove other information visible in the image itself. A photo can reveal sensitive information even after its embedded metadata has been removed.
Do not rely on a metadata scrubber as forensic proof
The output is newly encoded from the image pixels and is intended to remove common metadata from normal JPG, PNG, and WebP files. Different browsers and encoders may write minimal structural information required by the output format, so this tool should not be described as guaranteeing that every possible byte of metadata has been removed.
